goodbye geocities

free glitter text and family website at FamilyLobby.com

A sparkly gif to commemorate this day?

It’s interesting that only now it has closed down… Geocities was like the biggest thing of 90’s internet. XD

I never had one though, my Mum was always saying something on there was messing up the computer…

I did have a page on AOL Hometown though… :D

  1. Yes, when I read this last night I was in shock… a lot of the great sites were on there (as well as some pretty wtf sites, but whatevs XD) but it really was staple of when I was a kid and getting in to the internet. All the wonderful Sailor Moon sites ;-;

    • Kind of funny to read that, but yeah, I think it was a really important part of internet history. And a lot of people had there first starts in sharing stuff on the internet with it. Amazing also to think that Lycos is still around…
